Mimu, enables venues to provide customers the convenience of scanning a QR code and placing orders directly from their table.
My Solution
Firstly, I created a simple design system encompassing icons and UI components. I refreshed the colour palette, introducing a complementary secondary colour, and established the tone for the imagery style. By maintaining a light and clean approach, I made adjustments to spacing and font styles to enhance usability.Despite a tight budget that ruled out a complete UX review, I quickly pinpointed clear pain points and UI issues. By identifying the most common user tasks, I streamlined navigation, guiding users to the primary admin task hubs. I introduced slide-out drawers for routine tasks, which cut down the need for multiple page clicks and helped maintain the users' workflow. A notable addition was the inclusion of a toggle switch, allowing users to easily turn the entire system on or off—an essential feature for the bustling staff of a busy hospitality venue.
